Practice Areas: Data Protection • IT & Space Law • Contract Law • Corporate Law

Email: keogh@mhl-law.de

Laura Keogh has her Bachelors of Law from Trinity College Dublin and her Masters of Law from the University of Edinburgh. She trained as a barrister with the Honourable Society of the Kings Inns and qualified as an Irish lawyer in the spring of 2017.

Prior to qualification, she carried out several practical internships in arbitration, corporate, competition / state aid, land, data protection, and space law. Much of this work took her outside the jurisdiction of Ireland; she has worked in London, Brussels and indeed Munich, as well as further afield in places such as China.

Her particular passion is in the area of technology and space law, especially from a data protection perspective, and often speaks at conferences on these topics. She considers the space and technology sectors to be of growing importance with the rise of automation and the internet of things. The rise in mid-size companies in these sectors in both Dublin and Munich is what drew her to MHL-Law, who has a unique German-Irish client base.

Since qualification, she has worked at MHL-Law particularly on Irish law matters (contract, employment, probate, arbitration), licensing matters, data protection law and on legal matters specific to the technology and space sectors.

She is a member of the Rechtsanwaltskammer München (Munich Bar) and the European Centre for Space Law.
