Mr Ludwig set up his own law firm on 1 July 2011 as a sole practitioner and since January 2018 this has expanded into a new company MHL-Law Rechtsanwaltsgesellschaft mbH with Mr Ludwig as director. Mr Ludwig is currently a practicing lawyer / specialist tax lawyer in Germany as well as an Irish solicitor.

Markus was born in Munich in 1971. He grew up in Bavaria but spent happy summers during his childhood in Co Kerry, Ireland.

Markus graduated from Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 1995 with a degree in law. In 1998 Markus joined the tax firm Leinauer & Müller to build up the legal department of the firm. From 2001 to June 2011 Markus was a partner at LM LEINAUER MÜLLER LUDWIG & PARTNER practicing predominantly in the areas of tax, corporate and IT law.

Markus holds a specialisation in tax law since 2001 (“Fachanwalt f. Steuerrecht”). In 2008 Markus was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors in Ireland and currently also holds a practising certificate in Ireland. In 2010 Markus was admitted as a solicitor of the Senior Courts of England and Wales (non-practicing)
